Torchlight 2 best engineer build12/19/2023 ![]() ![]() Still figuring it out.Īdventuring helped me stay at a slightly higher level, which is nice.ĭervish is nice to help you kill bosses quicker, since you're just sitting there smacking away at them.Ĭoncentration helps with the slight mana issues. In vanilla your best bet is to drop vit almost entirely. I'm not sure how much Vit I want, but since Aegis of Fate scales off armor, im not sure if I should put more in this or not. After that I prioritized Str while putting a little in Vit. Keep your Str and Dex basically even until Dex hits 100. Later in the game, you kinda stop seeing the effects of this, but I like to keep it around, I'm sure it will save my life some day. ![]() One point is enough.Ĭharge Reconstitution (1/15) This helps you a lot when you dont have EQ, and you're using a lot of charges with your FH. Good thing to note, if this procs while you have Forcefield up, damage will be applied to this before the field. Low priority.Īegis of Fate (1/15) - Small shield that you dont have to worry about activating. Immobilization Copter (15/15) - Throw him down and he'll hep you out all the time. It also applies a good de-buff, and stuns late game. Use it to give you breathing room when you're being mobbed. ![]() Tremor (15/15) - Your main other utility skill. Early levels, it will be broken very quickly, but around Act 2 it will start turning into an actual shield for you. Doesnt matter if its not full charges, just have it up until you can get more charges. Can end up saving your life if your Forcefield gets destroyed before you can normally gain enough charges to pop another fully charged one.įorcefield (15/15) - Saves your life. Prioritize this if you're not doing enough damage (Its HCE, you'll never be doing enough damage).Ĭharge Domination (1/15) - One point is enough to feel the effects. Prioritize this one if you feel squishy.įire and Spark (x/15) - Same as Bulwark, but on the other side of the spectrum. Only put points in them if you cant level up ANYTHING else. This and Fire and Spark are your "Dump your extra points here as needed" skills. Just don't forget to summon him.īulwark (x/15) - Gives you more survivability, and makes Aegis of Fate stronger. Healing Bot (15/15) - Super important to keeping you alive. only put in points when you have extra to spare.Ĭoup-de-Grace (1/15) - Gives you more DPS when your Heavy Lifting procs. ![]() Supercharge (15/15) - Helps DPS, and gains you charges for your Forcefield.Beat the shit out of things quickly, and stun them while you're at it. Heavy Lifting(15/15) - Your other source of damage. If you want to use FH instead, go for it. It also doesnt use charges, which lets you save them for Forcefield. I prefer EQ since the fire trails have a better AI, and will stick to/follow the enemies better than FH. The damage it gives versus Flame Hammer is almost exactly the same. You might be asking "But this is a Str build, why would we use Emberquake if it scales with Focus?" WELL, you didnt know this was a Str build yet, so Why are you asking silly questions? Also, EQ does scale off Str, just not as much as Focus. Emberquake (15/15) - The damage is real.If you want to use mods to get that point back at level 42, you certainly can. Flame Hammer (1/15) - Leave one point in it.Its what I dreamed up that sounded like fun, and I was determined to take it through HCE. NOTE 2: This build is not fully optimized by any standard other than mine. I've also had lots of experience playing on elite, so that helped too. In total, 9 engineers gave their lives to get me to the end. I died many times in my attempts to make it. NOTE: This build was VERY difficult in the early levels. I made a post earlier today about how I finally beat the Netherlord on HCE, and I figured the subreddit has been feeling pretty bare in the last year, so I decided I'd contribute. ![]()
